Scanly is built as a local-first document scanner. Your documents are private by default.

What we collect

• No account data. Scanly does not require an account and does not operate a user database.
• No document upload. Scans, PDFs, and recognised text are stored on your device unless you choose to share them through iOS.
• Purchase state. Apple tells the app whether your Apple ID has an active Scanly Pro subscription. We do not receive your payment card details.

What we do not use

• No advertising SDKs.
• No third-party analytics SDKs.
• No document-processing cloud service.
• No sale or sharing of personal data.

Camera and documents

The camera is used only when you start a scan. Captured pages are converted into local PDFs. OCR is performed on-device using Apple frameworks.

Deleting your data

Delete individual scans in the Library. Deleting the app removes local Scanly data from the device according to iOS behavior.
